Piers Morgan has dismissed reports Susan Boyle has suffered a breakdown.

 

The singer checked into The Priory on Sunday for exhaustion after being beaten in the final of Britain's Got Talent by dance group Diversity.

Piers, 44, says Susan's admission was 'entirely voluntary' and that claims about her health had been 'exaggerated'.

‘She’s fine,’ he told GMTV. ‘She’s gone in for some rest. She needs to get away from everyone – from the show, the media, the public - and have a bit of time to herself.

‘Nobody, and I stress this, has had to put up with the kind of attention that Susan has. She had trouble sleeping and was not eating.

 

'However, she is now in the right place. I am sure she that after a few days rest she will be better.’
