Gordon Ramsay has four children with his wife Tana

Gordon Ramsay says he used to get beaten up by his father.

The F Word star and his siblings got regular beatings from Gordon Snr.

‘He hit us when he was drunk,’ he tells the Telegraph. ‘Things were thrown, we had to run for our lives.

‘I remember being woken in the night, mum screaming, and rushing down the street in our pyjamas to a neighbour’s to wait for the police.’

But Gordon, 41, wishes he'd reconciled with his dad before his death in 1997.

'I regret not making up with him,' he says. 'I was in a position to forgive, but not forget, and move on.

'But I was negative because of how much of our lives he had wasted.'
