
Yves Saint Laurent has passed away at the age of 71.
The fashion guru, who had been ill for some time, died on Sunday at his home in Paris.
Yves became chief designer at the House of Dior when he was only 21 and founded YSL in 1962.
He retired from haute couture in 2002.
'Yves Saint Laurent infused his label with his creative genius, elegant
and refined personality... because he was convinced that beauty was a
necessary luxury for all men and all women,' French President Nicolas Sarkozy announced in tribute.

During his fashion career, Yves worked with the likes of Nicole Kidman, 40, Jennifer Lopez, 38, Katie Holmes, 29, and Victoria Beckham, 34.
