Will.i.am has insisted that Cheryl Cole won't be returning to her job as a judge on The X Factor.

The Black Eyed Peas singer, who manages Cheryl's US career, reckons it's time she moved on to bigger and better things.

'Cheryl won't do X Factor,' says Will, 36.

'Why does she need it? 

'Why are you going to make someone else rich?

'Cheryl needs her own show.'

Cheryl, 28, was axed from the panel of American X Factor after just a few days in May last year, which Will reckons was a poor decision.

'Cheryl Cole was current on X Factor,' he tells the Daily Mirror.

'She was the only one on the panel with musical experience of what it feels like to go through that process.

'That's how she made it into the industry, by doing Popstars.'
