While newly-married David Tennant was playing the iconic role of Doctor Who in the BBC series, he brought the show some serious cool appeal, and was adored by thousand of dedicated fans.
But David, 40, hasn't always been the charismatic guy we know and love now.
‘I've always been a geek and slightly awkward. I was never the cool kid at school, admits David.
‘There's definitely a swot in me.'
David, who played the Time Lord from 2005 to 2010, still can't believe he's now seen as a sex symbol.
‘The moment one is made aware of that sort of thing, it's very hard to enjoy because it feels so absurd,' David tells The Guardian Weekend.
‘I still find it ridiculous when I read a script that says something like ‘‘good looking'' or ‘‘fanciable'' or anything like that.'
