X Factor viewers will not be able to vote for their favourite act by text in this weekend's final.
Fans will only be able to call or press the red button on their TV to help crown the winner from hopefuls Little Mix, Marcus Collins and Amelia Lily.
'The X Factor final includes a vote "freeze" and therefore a shorter vote period,' says a show rep.
'It is not possible for text voting to be offered, as delays can be experienced within the mobile networks.'
But Now's Dan Wootton believes this news could have an effect on Little Mix and Amelia's chances of winning the show.
Both acts' fan bases are likely to be young - the age group who are most likely to use their mobile phone to vote.
'I think it's annoying there'll be no text voting on the X Factor final because my assumption is it will harm Little Mix and Amelia,' Tweets Dan.
