
Now that they're best buds again, Robbie Williams has appealed to his Take That mate Gary Barlow to get him back on The X Factor.
Robbie, 37, has asked Gary, 40, to convince producers to let him perform some of his new material during the live shows.
It comes after Robbie's last solo performance in 2009 was branded a disaster.
Robbie, who's a huge fan of the show, was widely panned when he performed his single Bodies on the show because of his strange dance moves and ‘wild eyes'.
‘Robbie was fine when he appeared with Take That in the last series, but he really wants a chance to reprieve himself after that outing two years ago,' says our source.
‘He came under so much fire. It was the beginning of the end of working by himself for ages.'
