Chloe Madeley has moved back in with her parents after her split from Sam Attwater

Chloe Madeley and Sam Attwater's romance is over.

The Dancing On Ice couple, who met earlier this year when they competed against each other on the reality show, are now just good mates.

'It's very sad but it's amicable. We realised we were better off as friends and I'm glad we made that realisation early,' says Chloe, 23.

'We were really happy but it just didn't work out and we're still incredibly close. We just work better as very close friends.'

Chloe had recently moved in with the 25-year-old ex-EastEnders actor but insists she has 'no regrets' and doesn't think the relationship moved too fast.

'Break-ups are always sad but there was no massive issue or argument. There was nothing dramatic,' she tells the Daily Mirror.

'We just slowly came to the conclusion it wasn't working and I'm thankful that we did because now we have the opportunity to retain our friendship.'
