BABY JOY! Hannah Waterman gives birth to a son

Actress Hannah Waterman and Huw Higginson are new parents

Hannah Waterman and her boyfriend Huw Higginson are celebrating the arrival of their little boy.

The ex-EastEnders star's agent confirmed today that she gave birth 'in recent weeks'.

Hannah kept her pregnancy quiet until April, when she revealed the father or her baby was former Bill and EastEnders actor Huw, 47.

The actress split from her husband of 3 years Ricky Groves, 42, in January 2010 and got togeher with her new man after he became her 'lodger'.

'Last year, Huw came a bit unstuck in his personal life and I was on tour with Calendar Girls, so he stayed at my house for a while,' revealed Hannah, 36

'He moved in in June, and things progressed quite quickly from there.

'We
spoke early on in our relationship about the fact we'd like a
family.

'But we didn't expect it to happen so quickly!'
