Simon Cowell tries his hand at acting in the new US X Factor trailer.
The video sees the show boss in a baby pink jumper, complimenting a string of average auditionees as they sing Tomorrow - a sickly sweet song from musical Annie.
'This is a different decade. It's not about me anymore, it's about them,' Simon, 51, says in the clip.
'I want to make people's dreams come true... My attitude this year? Helping others make a better tomorrow.'
But the trailer then flashes to the music mogul waking up in bed, exclaiming: 'What a horrible nightmare!'
Guns 'N' Roses' cover version of Wings' Live And Let Die then kicks in as a more suitably dressed Simon speeds off in his flash car.
Fellow judges Paula Abdul, 48, Antonio LA Reid, 54 and Nicole Scherzinger, 32, are then seen with Simon making the expected scathing remarks and harsh put-downs.
'Well, what else did you expect?' he asks as he drives away.
