Cheryl Cole and Adele could soon be sitting on the same judging panel for new BBC talent show The Voice.
The £25m programme, which had a hugely successful debut in America this year, has a 'blind' selection process so contestants are picked for their talent rather than looks.
'Adele's success is all down to her incredible voice and, in this way, embodies all that The Voice represents,' a source tells the Daily Mirror.
'She is honest, funny and loved by millions of people of all ages.
'She really has "The Voice" that can sell albums around the world so she knows what to look for.'
BBC bosses are also believed to be keen to get axed US X Factor judge Cheryl, 28, on board to attract her own huge fan base.
But while the Girls Aloud star's involvement is up in air, Adele's seems more definite as she hinted at her possible new role to Chris Moyles on Radio 1 yesterday.
'There's a possibility I'm doing something quite big next year,' said the 23-year-old.
'I've got a meeting about it on Friday.'
Cee Lo Green is tipped to be the third judge on the show.
