NEW VIDEO Cheryl Cole shines in early footage of US X Factor

No hints of the trouble that lay ahead for Cheryl Cole

Cheryl Cole is currently at home in Newcastle spending time with family

A new video has emerged of Cheryl Cole in the early stages of US X Factor.

The footage shows Cheryl at the promo presentation for the launch of Simon Cowell's talent show on Fox TV in America. 

The 27-year-old, who was later axed as a judge, stands coyly next to the rest of The X Factor team - Simon, Paula Abdul, Antonio LA Reid, Nicole Scherzinger and Steve Jones.

She looks shy and puts her hands in the pockets of her red dress as Simon, 51, introduces her as 'the gorgeous Cheryl Cole'.

The video also shows clips from the auditions, in which a confident Cheryl smiles as she tells one wannabe singer: 'You are the cutest little thing!'

The hopeful replies: 'I like her.'

Cheryl has now been replaced by Pussycat Doll Nicole, 32, who was originally hired to co-host the show with Steve, 34.

She has not been seen in public since her very public dumping.
