Matthew Morrison thinks Cheryl Cole should take up a role in hit musical show Glee to recover from her career crisis.

Cheryl was axed as a judge from Fox Network's US X Factor last month and has been off the radar ever since - hiding out with friends and family

'Appearing in Glee would be a good way for Cheryl to crack America,' says Matthew, 32.

'She was part of Fox when she was involved in US X Factor - they also make Glee,'

'Maybe she will make an appearance - you never know!'

The actor, who plays popular teacher Mr Schuester, is convinced Cheryl, 27, can make it across the pond.

'She's on the front of every newspaper and magazine in the UK,' he says.

'It's not the same in America, but I still think she can crack it over there. She is a talented girl.'
