Actress Suzanne Shaw wants to spend more time with her family

Suzanne Shaw plays Eve Jenson in Emmerdale

Suzanne Shaw is leaving Emmerdale in the summer.

The actress, who plays Eve Jenson on the ITV soap, wants to spend more time with DJ husband Jason King and Corey, 6, her son with ex Darren Day.

'They must come first,' Suzanne, 29, tells The Sun. 'I'll leave the show in the summer.

'I have thoroughly enjoyed playing Eve and have been lucky to have had some incredible storylines and I'll miss the cast and the crew.'

Producer Stuart Blackburn adds: 'Suzanne has been a valued member of the cast and was at the forefront of one of our biggest stories last year. She will be greatly missed.'
