Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd gets 'engaged' to Lauren Shippey

Corrie actor Jack P Shepherd said to be planning wedding for next year

Jack P Shepherd and Lauren Shippey have been dating since they were 14

Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has reportedly got engaged to long-term girlfriend Lauren Shippey.

The actor, 23 - who plays David platt - is thought to have proposed with a £3,000 diamond ring. 

‘Jack and Lauren are both delighted,' a source tells the News Of The World.

'He has made the ultimate statement that he wants to be with her for the rest of his life.'

Jack and Lauren, 22, are thought to be planning a wedding for next year.

The couple have been dating since they were 14 and are parents to Nyla, 2.  

Last year, Jack issued a public apology to Lauren after promotions girl Sammy Milewski, 25, alleged they had a one-night stand. 

A Corrie spokeswoman declined to comment about the rumoured engagement to Now Online.
