Hannah Waterman is pregnant with her first child, just over a year after her split from husband of 3 years Ricky Groves.

The former EastEnders star was snapped out and about at the weekend with a visible baby bump and is believed to be 5 months gone - but she hasn't yet revealed the father of her child.

'This may come as a bit of a shock to a lot of people but Hannah is absolutely thrilled,' a source tells the Sunday Mirror.

'She is 35 now and feels it is the perfect time to start a family.

'Everyone who knows her is sure she's going to be a great mum.'

Hannah famously lost 2 and a half stone in 2009 and told Ricky, 42, in January 2010 that their 10-year relationship was over and she'd met someone else.

Ricky, who starred in EastEnders as Garry Hobbs alongside Hannah as Laura Beale, admitted that breaking up with the actress shattered his world.

'After we split up, I put on a big brave face because deep down I was in pieces,' he told The People last year.

'When a marriage breaks down, it is all about who owns what, and who should be allowed to keep what - and that was tough.

'It isn't every day that you lose a wife, a house, a boat and a dog in one fell swoop.

'One minute you're on cloud nine, and then next you're crashing back to reality with a bump.

'It is hard, but you do just have to deal with it.'

A spokesman for Hannah confirms the pregnancy but is making no further comment.
