Chloe Madeley says she can't understand why a snap of her smoking cannabis at 19 caused such a media furore.

The Dancing On Ice finalist - daughter of daytime TV legends Richard Madeley and Judy Finnigan - was snapped using the drug in a field at the age of 19.

'I don't want to offend or upset people but I feel it's better to be 100 per cent honest,' says Chloe, 23.

'With the exception of skunk, which is really dangerous, I fail to see what all the fuss is about.

'I've had lots of jobs over the years and some of the most respectable, intelligent and loving people I have worked with have smoked weed.'

But Chloe does regret drinking 2 cocktails and thinking it was okay to drive home - she received a 20-month driving ban after she plunged into a stationary vehicle and overturned her car in August 2009.

'When that happened, there you go, I shot myself in the foot,' she tells Hello!

'I gave people the right to say that I was out of control and stupid.

'With the exception of the car accident, which was a gross misjudgement on my part and something I really regret, everything that labelled me as a wild child was pretty much standard behaviour for a young girl in London.'
