Jonathan Ross had a lucky escape last week after the car he was driving crashed off a race track at 90mph.
The TV presenter was filming Top Gear's Star In A Reasonably Priced Car segment, racing a Kia Cee'd around an old airfield in Surrey.
Adverse weather conditions sent him spinning out of control during one of his trial laps.
'I was coming round one of the corners where you have to be flat out and it started raining,' says Jonathan, 50.
'The back end went out and I spun out of control.
'I was having problems with the gearbox and kept shoving it into fifth when I wanted third.'
'Jonathan was wearing a crash helmet and, though given medical attention at the scene, did not have to go to hospital.
'My head banged all over the place,' he tells The People, 'and it's still really hurting now.'
The car was nearly a write-off and it was a heart-stopping moment for the Top Gear team.
Presenter Richard Hammond, 41, was critically injured in 2006 after he crashed a jet-powered dragster at 288mph.
