Katie Waissel's gran looks set to win a top TV porn award for her role in Freddie's Great British Granny Bang.

Sheila Vogel-Coupe, 81, has been nominated for Most Outrageous Scene at the Soft And Hard Adult Film And Television Awards.

X Factor reject Katie, 24, had no idea about her elderly grandmother's secret life when she auditioned for the show and it's caused her and her nearest and dearest much embarrassment.

'We're a very close family and we always will be,' Katie tells Now.

'We're just dealing with it together. It's her business and her life.

'At the end of the day, she's an 82-year-old lady and I want to make sure she's OK.

'It was a massive shock. I was on the show when I found out.

'I just put my head down and got on with what I had to do. It's sad, but we're there for each other.'

Sheila advertises her services on escort website Vintage Vamps under the name Grande Dame Cecilia Bird.

'I work as a prostitute because I love it. It gives me great satisfaction and keeps me young,' Sheila's explains.

'I could go on for
years yet. Why should I stop?'
