Singer Katie Waissel says X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has been an 'amazing mentor'

Katie Waissel has rubbished rumours she's fallen out with Cheryl Cole following her X Factor exit.

The singer was reported to have blamed the Girls Aloud star for her elimination last night because she didn't think her song choices were strong enough. 

'No... the papers have said so much over the past few weeks,' Katie, 24, said on This Morning today.

'Cheryl has been an amazing mentor and all of the judges are wonderful so no, that wasn't the case at all.'

Wagner Carrilho, 54, was also voted off The X Factor last night following a sing-off with Mary Byrne, 50.
