X Factor reject Aiden Grimshaw fancies sexy Cheryl Cole but is glad he got the tender loving of Dannii Minogue.

‘I wouldn't kick Cheryl out of bed but I'd have to say I prefer Dannii,' says the teenager.

‘Although, that's a bit weird because she's like my mum, well my mentor-mum.'

Aiden, 18, appreciated all the support Dannii, 39, gave him before he lost out in the sing-off against Katie Waissel two weeks ago.

‘She's amazing. I had the best mentor,' he says.

‘She was always there on the phone with advice and ready to help with everything from personal issues to general worries.

'Her door was always open.'
