I'm A Celebrity contestants bitten by Australian python during Hell Hole challenge

Shaun Ryder was bitten by a python on I'm A Celebrity

I'm A Celebrity contestants Shaun Ryder and Lembit Opik needed medical attention after being bitten by a python during the show's Hell Hole challenge.  

‘If anything bites me in there I am going to pull it out and bite it right back,' Shaun boasted before he started the task.

The pair had to rummage around boxes of rats and a snake in an attempt to save themselves from eviction.

Lembit was bitten first, but Shaun's bite was by far the worst.

‘It was like sticking your hand through a sheet of glass and it wouldn't let go,' Shaun said.

The challenge was immediately stopped and rangers came to the rescue.

Sheryl Gascoigne, who has now been evicted, and Gillian McKeith were very pleased they refused to take part.

‘I'm really happy and don't regret my decision,' Gillian said, ‘especially since someone got a snake bite.'

Lembit followed Sheryl in his own eviction tonight.
