Cher Lloyd insists Cheryl Cole doesn't have favourites

After mentor Cheryl Cole gave Cher Lloyd a £370 pair of Dolce And Gabbana boots, there were some disgruntled contestants in The X Factor house.

Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson, both 24, are a bit miffed at the favouritism Cheryl has been showing towards her mini-me.

'Cheryl has acted more like a big sister than a judge to Cher,' says a show insider. 'It's starting to irk the other girls.

'The others are lucky if they get five minutes with her - Cher gets Cheryl's old designer clobber.'

Cher, 17, has been parading about in the red lace-up peep-toe boots that Cheryl, 27, was papped in two years ago.  And she doesn't see why she shouldn't.

'There was such a fuss about that but it was just an old pair of boots,' says Cher.

'We're the same shoe size (three) so she couldn't have given them to the others, could she?

'I think it's insane that people get so worked up! They're just shoes!'
