June, who plays Dot Cotton in the soap, will be partnered by Vincent
Simone and is anxious about her appearance.
‘I am terrified and apprehensive about what I've let myself in for, I must be barmy and I'm not sure what's come over me,' she admits.
The actress, 83, will be the oldest contestant in the BBC show's history and is one of five celebrities who have signed up for the seasonal one-off.
Fern Britton, Vince Cable, Ronni Ancona and John Barrowmanwill also step out in sequins on this year's new-format show, which has formerly starred ex-competitors and finalists.
'I just hope I can remember the steps to the routine,' June tells the Daily Mirror.
'I'm looking forward to working with professional dancers and the other contestants.'
