Tina O'Brien: I've fallen in love

Evictee is mad about Strictly Come Dancing

Tina O'Brien says she is happy being single

Tina O'Brien was devastated when she was voted off Strictly Come Dancing in Hallowe'en week.

‘It felt like breaking up with a boyfriend - I couldn't stop crying,' she tells Now.

‘I just wanted to go home and eat junk food. I've only ever been dumped once and it was the same feeling.'

Last month, Tina, 27, split from her cameraman boyfriend Nick Cox, 35, blaming the pressures of Strictly.

‘He wasn't used to all the media attention and kept asking me every time he read anything if it was true,' says Tina.

‘Nick was everything I could've asked for in a boyfriend but at the moment I'm happy to be single and focus on being a mum to my two-year-old daughter Scarlett.'

The former Corrie star will now be spending more time with her dancing partner Jared Murillo, 22, as the pair are appearing on the Strictly Come Dancing live tour from January.

‘I've really fallen in love with the Strictly way of life, so I don't want to give it up just yet,' says Tina.

‘I've found a friend for life in Jared and I really want to keep that partnership going.'
