Newly single Christina Aguilera to appear on The X Factor

Singer Christina Aguilera to perform on X Factor live shows in November

Christina Aguilera announced her split from Jordan Bratman on Tuesday

Newly single Christina Aguilera is being lined-up to appear on The X Factor.

The singer is expected to perform on one of the live shows next month.

Christina's appearance will coincide with her trip to the UK to promote new film Burlesque.

She will either sing a track from the musical or her single You Lost Me, which will be released later this month. 

On Tuesday, Christina confirmed she had split from husband Jordan Bratman, 33.

The couple - who are parents to Max Liron, 2 - met in 2002 and married in November 2005.
