Nicolo Festa: I wanted to die after being voted off The X Factor

X Factor finalist Nicolo Festa humiliated he was first to leave ITV show

Nicolo Festa was gutted to be the first contestant to be voted off The X Factor 2010.

The Italian-born singer failed to impress viewers with his version of Lady Gaga's Just Dance.
 
'I felt humiliated and like I wanted to die,' says Nicolo, 21.

'Every second I was mortified. I wasn't sad, I just wanted to disappear. I don't like to feel embarrassed.
 
'I always thought I wasn't going to win, but I never thought I would be the first to go.'

But Nicolo says show boss Simon Cowell, 51, has been really supportive.

'He said he didn't expect it at all and that it happens,' he tells X Magazine. 'But he made it clear to me that he believed in me.'

Cheryl Cole's act Katie Waissel is favourite to leave The X Factor this weekend.
