Cher Lloyd: I wore Cheryl Cole's shoes for The X Factor live show

X Factor finalist Cher Lloyd stepped into her mentor's high heels

Cher Lloyd is pleased she can wear what she likes

X Factor rapper Cher Lloyd performed in Cheryl Cole's shoes on Saturday's first live show to help her overcome her nerves.

Cher burst into tears during rehearsals because she felt self-conscious in the tight top she was originally supposed to wear - so she styled herself.

'I had a bit of a meltdown earlier in the week,' explained Cher after her performance. 'But I just couldn't go onstage in something I felt uncomfortable in.

'These are Cheryl's shoes. She lent them to me. It's a good thing Louis isn't my mentor as I'd have been wearing his shoes on TV!'

The 17-year-old's performed Just Be Good To Me and showed that she'd got her confidence back.

'I've proved all the haters wrong. I'm so pleased,' she told X Magazine.

'I was so, so nervous, but the moment I walked out, it was like a switch went click, and I was into it. Just like that.'
