Usher is lending his support to the campaign to stop X Factor reject Gamu Nhengu from being deported back to her native Zimbabwe.
The teen singer and her family have been ordered to leave the UK after mum Nokuthula Ngazana's application to extend her working visa was rejected.
Now Usher, 31, has waded into the row by saying Gamu, 18, deserves a break.
'I hope she gets another chance,' he tells the Daily Mirror.
'It's a horrible situation if she has to be sent back, but hopefully they can work something out so she'll be able to achieve her dreams as a recording artist one day.'
Usher performed a medley of hit singles OMG and DJ Got Us Falling In Love on The X Factor result show last night.
