Goldie has become the first contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing - despite Ann Widdecombe getting the lowest score from the judges on Saturday.
The former MP only got 12 points out of 40 for her salsa but was saved by the public.
Instead, Goldie, 45, was sent packing after he received the lowest number of viewer votes.
'I wasn't expecting that at all,' he tells the Daily Mail. 'It obviously wasn't based on dancing.
'Ann is obviously great entertainment value and people have clearly taken her to their hearts...
'As fas as I'm concerned, it is a popularity contest, not a dancing contest.'
Former EastEnders star Kara Tointon, 27, is among the 13 other celebs that remain on Strictly Come Dancing.
