
Gwyneth Paltrow's taking time out from blogging about her oh-so-perfect life scoffing organic tofu to star on US hit TV show Glee.
But Gwyneth Paltrow's upcoming appearance on the show has prompted a major Gleek backlash.
The 38-year-old mum-of-two is set to play a substitute teacher who steps in to help the Glee Club when Matthew Morrison's character Will Schuester gets sick.
He then ends up falling for her.
But after fans of the show inundated websites with angry messages vowing that they wouldn't watch when her episodes aired, friends say the macrobiotic mama thinks she made the wrong decision in signing and is devastated.
'Ryan Murphy, who created the show, wrote the part specifically for Gwyneth,' an insider tells Now.
'He wrote and directed Running With Scissors, which Gwyneth starred in.
'When he said he wanted her on Glee, she jumped at the chance.
'But she's been really shocked and hurt by the backlash.
'Now she's starting to wonder whether she's the most hated actress in America.
