Darren Day to have affair with Jacqui McQueen in Hollyoaks

Actor Darren Day will play new evil character

Darren Day has a son called Corey with Dancing On Ice star Suzanne Shaw

Darren Day has been cast in Hollyoaks.

The actor will join the Channel 4 show as bad boy Danny Houston from 11 October.

His character will be a silent partner in the Chez Chez nightclub and also embark on an affair with Jacqui McQueen, played by Claire Cooper.

'I've
been a fan of the show for some time,' says Darren, 42. 'I'm delighted to join the cast.'

Hollyoaks bosses think Darren will be a hit with viewers. 

'Danny Houston is a dangerous, but very charming character who makes an aggressive impact in his first episodes,' says producer Paul Marquess.

'Darren plays the part brilliantly.'
