Simon Cowell has reportedly offered Katy Perry a spot on the judging panel on the US version of The X Factor.
The music mogul was impressed when the singer, 25, covered for Dannii Minogue during the auditions for the ITV show in Dublin.
'Simon wants to get the judging names signed, sealed and announced within six weeks,' says a source.
'He wants at least one massive American star, someone who is known globally, plus one Brit and at least one authoritative male...
'Katy really came on Simon's radar after the Dublin auditions. She absolutely nailed it. She was a natural.'
Simon, 50, is even thought to be contemplating £220,000-a-show deal to get Katy.
'She has agreed to meet Simon and studio bosses in the States this autumn to see if something can be done,' the source tells the Daily Mirror.
The X Factor USA will debut in autumn 2011.
