Peter Andre backs Chantelle on Ultimate Big Brother

Singer Peter Andre stands by his close pal Chantelle Houghton

Peter Andre has a lot of time for pal Chantelle Houghton who was devastated by her divorce from Preston

Peter Andre has declared his support for close friend Chantelle Houghton while she competes in Ultimate Big Brother.

‘She is such a sweet girl and I think she will do really well,' says Pete.

Chantelle divorced fellow UBB housemate Preston in 2007 and became close to Katie Price's ex after the collapse of his marriage to the glamour model in May 2009.

Peter, 37, and Chantelle, 27, were rumoured to be dating
after they were spotted out together, but both firmly denied the claims.

‘Just to let you know that there is nothing going on with me and Chantelle 1,000 million per cent,' Pete wrote on Twitter at the time.

‘My head hasn't even been able to think of anyone else. Kids and work, that's it for now.'

Chantelle has told her Big Brother housemates that she underwent drastic plastic surgery, including a boob job and face fillers, to numb the pain of her marriage break-up.

‘All I can say is that people handle divorces in different ways,' says Peter, 'but I hope she is in a better place now.'
