Steven Tyler has a lot of experience he can share with American Idol contestants
Steven Tyler has revealed that he's appearing as a judge on the new series of American Idol.
The Aerosmith frontman made the announcement on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
'[I'm] probably going to be judge on American Idol,' Steven, 62, told reporters.
'I'm doing it. What do you think? I'm doing it.'
US network FOX have yet to confirm the deal.
Last week, Ellen DeGeneres, 52, announced she was leaving the panel after just one season.
Jennifer Lopez has been tipped to replace her as a judge.
