Jonathan Ross is in talks to host next year's Brit Awards.
The comedian is thought to have negotiated the gig as part of his new deal with ITV.
Earlier this month, Jonathan signed a contract with the broadcaster to leave the BBC and front his own chat show for them.
'He has wanted to host the Brits for years but all of his commitments at the Beeb have never allowed him to,' says a source.
‘As soon as he left he made it his priority to get the Brits. He's really excited it's going to happen.'
Jonathan, 49, is also planning for his production company to oversee the making of the show.
‘He wants to do it properly, which is why he's in talks to produce the whole thing as well,' the source tells the News Of The World.
Peter Kay, Russell Brand, James Corden and Chris Evans have previously hosted the Brits.
Jonathan has presented the Baftas and the British Comedy Awards in the past.
