SHOCK! Queen Vic to burn down in new EastEnders storyline

Pub fire will air later this year

Barbara Windsor, who plays Queen Vic landlady Peggy Mitchell, is leaving EastEnders

EastEnders bosses are to burn down The Queen Vic as part of a dramatic storyline.

The current pub will be completely destroyed by the fire.

It has not been confirmed if any characters will be killed off in the blaze, but rumours suggest Peggy Mitchell will die. 

Barbara Windsor, 72, who has played the fiery landlady since 1994, has already announced she's quitting the BBC soap. 

Stars Cliff Parisi (Minty Peterson), Derek Martin (Charlie Slater), Belinda Owusu (Libby Fox) and Lacey Turner (Stacey Branning) are also leaving, meaning their characters could be written out in the blaze.
