Christine Bleakley is leaving the BBC to join ITV on a 3-year contract.
The presenter will front a new breakfast programme - to replace GMTV - with her former The One Show co-host Adrian Chiles.
Christine - who is dating England footballer Frank Lampard - made the decision after the BBC withdrew a £900,000 offer for her to stay with them for another 2 years.
‘I have been torn between working with Adrian Chiles and remaining at the BBC,' says the 31-year-old in a statement.
‘I fully understand the BBC had to move more swiftly than I could, and as a result they've managed to help make my mind up for me.'
ITV director of television Peter Fincham is confident Christine will be a hit with viewers.
‘It's great that she'll be reunited with Adrian Chiles and their unique and brilliant partnership will be at the heart of our new-look breakfast show from this autumn,' he says.
‘Christine will also become a familiar face to ITV peak-time audiences. We can't wait to get started.'
