Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff now play boyfriend and girlfriend in Glee

Glee stars Lea Michele and Jonathan Groff are used to playing love scenes together.

Before they got the parts of Rachel and Jesse in the popular TV series, they got down and dirty six nights a week for two years.

Lea and Jonathan both starred in Broadway musical Spring Awakening, and their characters had to strip off for a passionate sex scene.

'I just think it was done so tastefully,' says Lea, 23, who went topless in the role.

'It wasn't until I came back to see the show [once I'd left] that I was like, "Oh my God, I did that every single night".'

Jonathan, 25, who is openly gay, had no problem fondling his best friend.

'Any awkwardness went away in the first couple of times we did it,' he recalls.
