Carol McGiffin: I don't do cucumbers in bed

TV host not keen on vegetables in the bedroom

Loose Women's Carol McGiffin was married to Chris Evans

Loose Women presenter Carol McGiffin loves sex but endured 7 years of celibacy before meeting up with toyboy fiancé Mark Cassidy 18 months ago.

The 50-year-old - who was married to Chris Evans from 1991 to 1998 -  also nearly became the wife of a Greek footballer she calls Bob when she was in her twenties.

'One night he disappeared to the kitchen and carved a cucumber into a rude shape,' Carol recalls. 'I laughed hysterically when I discovered the cucumber was not meant for a salad.

'Not that I entertained the idea. This hurt Bob's macho Greek pride - he took offence and disappeared into the night.'

Mark, who is 22 years Carol's junior, was a distant admirer before they got together at a Loose Women party and he pushes all the right buttons.

'Within an hour we were snogging,' she recalls. 'After so long, what a relief to find someone who is genuinely adorable, gorgeous and young - and totally compatible in bed.'
