Danielle Hope has won the part of Dorothy in Over The Rainbow

Danielle Hope is the winner of BBC's Over the Rainbow, beating 10 other onscreen finalists.

The 18-year-old student from Manchester will play Dorothy in a West End production of Wizard Of Oz next year.

Runner-up was Sophie Evans, 17, from south Wales.

'You're the most fantastic, talented kid with a huge future ahead,' Andrew Lloyd Webber told Danielle.

'Now the hard work starts but my goodness me, you can act from the soul and that is something that's very special.'

Danielle took part in an exclusive Now photoshoot last week, posing dressed as Daisy Duke from the Dukes Of Hazzard.
