Keith Duffy is to leave Coronation Street for the second time in November.

The hunk, who plays barman Ciaran McCarthy, has decided not to renew his contract.

He wants to focus on his commitments with Boyzone, following the death of Stephen Gately

'I need to concentrate on being with the boys,' says Keith, 35.

'We've got a lot coming up so I've decided they'll take priority.

'I love the show so it's been a hard decision. But I know it's right.'

Keith returned to Corrie in January after a five-year absence.

'The blue rinse brigade are my biggest fans,' he tells the Sunday People.

'They keep sending letters saying how much they love me.

'And it's because of them that Corrie want me to stay.

'I've made lots of friends on the show. So it will be sad to leave them.

'But I have to commit to the band.'
