Zoe Lucker to join EastEnders

Actress will play Max Braning's lover

Zoe Lucker is excited about starring in EastEnders

Footballers' Wives star Zoe Lucker is to appear in EastEnders. 

The actress will play Vanessa, a businesswoman who falls for Max Branning (Jake Wood).

'I'm a huge fan of the show and I am really looking forward to working closely with Jake,' she says. 

Zoe, 35, who starred in Strictly Come Dancing last year, begins filming next month.

Her first scenes will air in the summer. 

'Vanessa is a strong force of nature who play Max at his own game,' says EastEnders boss Bryan Kirkwood.

Zoe's arrival will come just weeks before Max's estranged wife Tanya, played by Jo Joyner, returns to the Square.
