Corrie's Ryan Thomas charged over car crash

Soap actor is due in court on 16 April

Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas has been charged with failing to stop after a car smash.

The actor is accused of crashing his Chrysler in Manchester city centre before leaving the scene.

The vehicle collided with a lamppost on 31 October at 4am.

Ryan, 25, is also accused of failing to report the accident to police.

He will appear at Manchester Magistrates' Court on 16 April.
