Roxanne Pallett to star in Casualty

Actress will appear on screen in the summer

Roxanne Pallett played Jo Sugden in ITV soap Emmerdale

Roxanne Pallett has landed a role in an episode of Casualty.

The ex-Emmerdale star, 27, will play a patient's girlfriend in the BBC hospital drama.

'Roxanne has loved Casualty for ages and is excited about being back on TV screens,' a source tells the News Of The World.

'She is looking better than ever and is ready to kick her career up a notch.'

Roxanne's scenes will air in the summer. 

She appeared on Dancing On Ice last year.
