Gary Lucy hopes to win Dancing On Ice

The end of Dancing On Ice is in sight and Gary Lucy is close to the edge. Gone are The Bill star's days of falling out of nightclubs.

Instead he spends every night taking tumbles on a freezing cold ice rink. Now caught up with the baby-faced actor at the launch of Thorpe Park's SAW Alive ride to hear how he hasn't had a night off in a month in his bid to take the winner's trophy...

How are you coping with the pressure of the final stage of Dancing On Ice?

Really badly. All I think about is skating. My girlfriend has been very supportive, so I'm going to try and relax more for her sake.

How do you rate your chances against the other Dancing On Ice competitors?

I want to win obviously - so please tell all your readers to vote for me! But if I didn't win then I want Hayley Tamaddon to win, as she is the hardest working of us all. Her hunger is scary.

You've been dating your girlfriend Natasha Gray for ages and you said you'd pop the question if you win. Will you still do it if you lose?

I definitely want to get married, but when I do, I want it to be perfect. I don't want to be distracted by Dancing On Ice. Once the show is out of the way, I will ask her to marry me. But I am romantic and want to make it extra-special.
