X Factor judge talks about having kids

Simon Cowell blushed after kissing Mezhgan Hussainy on TV

Simon Cowell has finally confirmed he's engaged to Mezhgan Hussainy.

The X Factor judge was grilled about his girlfriend on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno in LA.

Mezhgan was even invited to join Simon on the sofa - and the pair shared a kiss. 

‘Are [the rumours] true?' Well, I do have somebody in my life now, Jay, yes,' said the 50-year-old.

‘And I kinda made a decision this year to make that somebody happy...it's called giving back...

‘I was asleep I think. No, look, I bought her the ring in London.'

But Simon isn't in a rush to get Mezhgan, 36, down the aisle.

When asked when they'll marry, he said: ‘Within the next ten years.'

Simon also revealed he hopes to start a family with his fiancée.

‘I'm kind of torn because I'm a bit too old to have kids,' he said.

‘But then again I think it would be important to have a lot of mes around in the future.'
