Steve Jones says it was hard eating a rat

Steve Jones ate a rat while filming a new Sky1 documentary last month.

The T4 star headed to the Amazon in Peru with brothers Jonathan and Chris to see if they could survive in the jungle on their own for a week.

After going hungry for 3 days, Steve, 32, and his siblings resorted to feasting on the rodent.

'It was hellish,' he tells The Sun. 'I ate a rat and its brains. But when you haven't eaten for three days you'll eat anything.

'It was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. I was glad to have my brothers there.'

Steve Jones And His Brothers: Great Amazon Adventure will air on 21 April.
