Dr Hilary Jones has been eliminated from Dancing On Ice 2010

Dr Hilary Jones has been eliminated from Dancing On Ice.

The GMTV TV Doc ended up in the skate-off against ex-Coronation Street star Danny Young last night and lost out.

'I've had a terrific time,' Dr Hilary, 56, told viewers as he accepted his special Valentine's Day bouquet and the studio audience rose to their feet as he took his lap of honour.

Skating partner Alexandra Schauman helped Dr Hilary train hard for the show but he never expected to stay in the contest for long.

'No way will I make it to the final,' he predicted. 'That's no with capital letters! Don't put your money on me.

'I'm totally out of my comfort zone on skates.'
