Dancing On Ice star Gary Lucy struck down with stomach bug

Actor and his partner miss rehearsals

Gary Lucy and Maria Filippov are keeping their distance from the other contestants

Dancing On Ice's Gary Lucy was forced to rest for 24 hours after picking up a tummy bug.

The Bill star, 28, and his partner Maria Filippov were struck down with stomach flu this week.

The pair were absent from rehearsals of the group dance planned for Sunday's show.

'Gary and Maria were ill and missed a day's training,' says an ITV spokesman. 'But they are back on the ice now.

'Other members of the crew have had the bug, but none of the other celebrities have caught it yet.'

Gary has taken to Twitter to tell fans he's recovering. 

'All good over here,' he writes. 'The green feeling is slowly clearing and pretty much remember my Valentine routine.'
